Fundação MT

The Foundation of Support to the Farming Research of Mato Grosso (MT Foundation) is a private organization of research for the development of new forms of cultivation for soy and cotton. Its mission “Improving people’s lifes through development of technologies applied to agriculture” explains the objective for which the company was created by a group of 23 producers in 1993. One of the main concerns of the institution is making possible that the production of Mato Grosso has logistic support accompanied with the development of research and new technologies, with the use of good agricultural practices, social and environmental responsibility.

MT Foundation provides to the society benefits generated by work in the field through sustainable development. The institution is one of the first in the advent of the Green Revolution that made the transformation of poor land into land of food production production, also providing profits for the socioeconomic and environmental areas.

The activities conducted by the programs of MT Foundation - Genetic Improvement of Soy, Protection of Plants, Control and Land preparation, System of Quality in Seeds, Phitopatology, Diseases and Plagues and Technological Diffusion – lead to profits that results in the preservation of the biodiversity of Mato Groso, taking care of the increasing demand of the population and contributing, according to the surveys, to the reduction of food prices.
