CEFETRA

Cefetra is a Dutch-based company that plays a co-ordinating and organizational role in several agricultural supply chains. Cefetra has subsidiaries in Hungary, Poland and the UK. With a turnover of about 12, 5 million tonnes of different raw materials and logistical efficiencies, Cefetra is able to meet the demand of her customers in West- and Eastern Europe. Soybeans and soybean meal are a major part of the product range of Cefetra.

Quality in growth is an important principle for Cefetra, who not only devotes much time and energy to food and feed safety, but also pays full attention to sustainability. This approach is a logical consequence of Cefetra's ambition for maximum integrity of the supply chain and the safeguarding of sustainable conditions governing raw material flows. Cefetra is already a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and is closely involved with sustainability soy programmes such as ProTerra and Basel criteria. On the moment Cefetra is stimulating suppliers to adopt these criteria and customers to buy according these criteria. The Round table on Responsible Soy Association is in our opinion a good initiative to promote this within the entire supply chain on a multi-stakeholder level.
